The international community should help solve Burkina Faso’s humanitarian problems. This was stated by the representative of the Russian delegation, Ilya Barmin, at the 44th session of the Working Group of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), held in Geneva. TASS.
“In the current situation, the international community needs to effectively assist the Burkina Faso authorities,” the diplomat said.
He explained that assistance is needed in areas such as acute humanitarian problems and the security sector. According to Barmin, the country faces a difficult human rights situation due to increased terrorist activities and unresolved internal socio-economic problems.
The diplomat noted that despite all the difficulties, the Burkina Faso government is doing everything it can to stabilize the situation and fulfill its obligations in the field of human rights. Russia advised Burkina Faso to ensure the protection of the rights of the most vulnerable segments of the population.
