Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky was placed under 24-hour house arrest with the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet. On November 6, the Kiev Pechersky District Court chose the appropriate preventive measure for the parliamentarian, local publication Public reported.

Documents show the lawmaker is suspected of creating a plan to illegally export men abroad. Journalists explained that we are talking about citizens of military age.

“People’s Deputy Dubinsky was elected as a preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest,” the publication says.

In this case, the parliamentarian will have to surrender to the authorities all documents for travel to other countries, including a foreign passport. Additionally, the court recommended that the MP refrain from communicating with people involved in this case.

According to media reports, the lawmaker will only be able to leave the house in two situations: to seek medical care and during an air raid warning. The parliamentarian did not rule out that the launch of the investigation was an attempt to prevent further criticism of the Ukrainian government.

On November 1, Dubinsky wrote on his Telegram channel that the current Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was involved in large-scale corruption. According to him, the head of state’s activities “embarrass the country in front of the whole world.” RIA News.
