If the opposition agrees, I expect far-reaching changes in state finances, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in an interview for Interia published on Saturday. I am convinced that these changes will be unfair in many cases, he added.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki asked in an interview with Interia whether he expected a “tsunami” at the companies of the Ministry of Finance, and replied:
If the opposition agrees, I expect far-reaching changes, although I am convinced that in many cases these changes will be unfair, because many people have acted very positively. But this is another part of politics, personnel policy regarding state finances, and certainly not of primary importance today.
Morawiecki was asked whether PiS is able to support some kind of changes in the courts and public media?
One form or another, yes – as long as it is good for Poland, constructive and uncompromising
– he said.
“Constructive opposition”
When asked whether his party would be a total opposition, whether it could make compromises, for example on changes in the courts or the public media, he said that if they were an opposition, “it certainly wouldn’t be a total are. but constructive.”
We will act constructively. If we are the opposition, which is not yet certain, we will energize the party’s activities and propose some solutions. Some people are lost today, but we want to get a good result in the local elections, so we will have to make lists soon. If the opposition forms a government, we will see which document will be longer: the Protocol of Discrepancies or the List of Unfulfilled Promises? Yes, some people are concerned about today’s election results. But I know a simple solution to hand-wringing and complaining. It is work
– said the Prime Minister.
As he added, “the coming months will show how strong law and justice are.”
The new semester’s competition has only just begun
– Morawiecki noted.
