“I had to take this initiative before the final decisions were made after the elections. We must use all methods, even non-standard methods, to save the money that Poland is entitled to,” assures Donald Tusk, the leader of KO, unscrupulously when talking about the payment of money from the KPO.
Although the President of the Republic of Poland has not yet entrusted him with the mission to form a government, the KO leader is already promising “even non-standard steps” to bring EU money to Poland. To confirm this, PO publishes a cheerful video of a welcome with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on the X website.
Immediately after the change of government, the government will take the necessary steps – which are not too complicated or time-consuming – so that Europe sees that the rule of law returns to Poland and that the money will be paid.
– says Tusk.
“Tusk’s rule of law
If it is my government, we will take these steps very quickly so that the first payments can be made in December. We must save the money that Poland earns!
– explains.
Suffice to say, the KPO money would be released 24 hours after the election. The Civic Platform no longer even tries to pretend that the European Union’s support depends on which party governs Poland. And that a change of government was the only real condition for releasing the funds. However, it is not worth giving in to the cheerful music and waiting for the money to actually arrive in Poland.
