Normalization of relations between Israel and Arab countries should not come at the expense of Palestine. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya. TASS.

On Wednesday, November 1, the diplomat attended the meeting of the 10th emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on the situation in the Middle East. According to the agency, Moscow and some other states had previously requested to continue working in this format.

“The new outbreak of violence proves what we have been saying for a long time: the normalization of Israel’s relations with Arab states, for all the positive nature of this phenomenon, cannot and should not come at the expense of the Palestinians.” Nebenzya said during the event.

He also added that it is impossible to comprehensively stabilize the situation in the Middle East without a full solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The governments of all Arab and Muslim states adhere to a similar position, which is confirmed by the resolution adopted by Jordan on October 27. The Moscow representative explained that this was also true for many other countries.

Nebenzya also noted the paradoxical situation in the region. According to him, the entire international community recognizes the unlawfulness of Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The West also does not want to remember that the escalation of the crisis occurred because Israel imposed systematic restrictions on the rights of the Palestinian people. We are specifically talking about people’s right to visit their shrines.

Previously in the USA promise Ensuring the normalization of relations between Israel and Arab states.
