“Our voters tell us not to give Tusk power because he will destroy Poland. Our voters expect us to try to form a government,” Law and Justice MP Marek Suski said on RMF FM. When asked about the formation of a government, the MP pointed out that the party had a prepared program and the assumption was that Mateusz Morawiecki would become the prime minister.
Who will get the majority in parliament?
Let us not forget that on October 26, President Andrzej Duda announced that the United Right had announced that their candidate for prime minister was Mateusz Morawiecki. As he emphasized, “they assume that they will have a majority in the Sejm. I heard a similar message from the Civic Coalition, the Third Way and the Left. Their candidate is Donald Tusk,” President Andrzej Duda said.
The first session of the new Sejm and the first attempt to vote on the election of the Sejm chairman will take place on November 13.
Marek Suski, who asked how Law and Justice would form a government if it does not have a majority, emphasized that “the Prime Minister assumed that we had a majority, we will find out after the confidence vote.”
We assume that Mateusz Morawiecki will become Prime Minister because PiS has a program, he has implemented this program and it is a good program for Poland
– said Suski. When asked about the candidate for the chairmanship of the Sejm, the MP said he was not authorized to discuss it.
Our voters tell us not to give Tusk power because he will destroy Poland. Our voters expect us to try to form a government
– emphasized Marek Suski.
Settlement of the election campaign
The conversation also touched on the issue of the election campaign and the future of Jarosław Kaczyński. When asked about the possible retirement of the PiS president, Marek Suski said that Jarosław Kaczyński should still work.
I believe that Jarosław Kaczyński is an excellent statesman and if he wanted to run for office, my vote would be 100 percent. I think he should work more for the good of Poland
– said Marek Suski.
When asked whether he knew why Law and Justice received more than 400,000 votes in the elections. fewer votes than in 2019, the politician said he was waiting for the campaign overview.
I think I know. I will share my opinion with my colleagues. If there is a summary of the election campaign and the way we exercised power, I will say it
– said Suski, adding that we should not ask him what mistakes Law and Justice made.
The opposition is there to criticize us, it is up to the citizens to judge us, I will not criticize myself here
– added Marek Suski.
