On Tuesday and Wednesday, consultation meetings between the president and representatives of the electoral commissions that will be represented in the next Sejm took place at the presidential palace. In Thursday’s statement, President Andrzej Duda also emphasized that there are two political groups that claim to have a parliamentary majority and have a candidate for prime minister. As he said, the United Right’s candidate for prime minister is Mateusz Morawiecki, and the candidate for KO, Third Way and Left is Donald Tusk. He also stated that KO, Third Road and Links have not yet formally formed a coalition, do not have a coalition agreement and cannot nominate candidates for ministers.
