On Wednesday after December 16, the last round of consultations between President Andrzej Duda and representatives of the electoral commissions ended. Politicians of the Confederation – Krzysztof Bosak, Sławomir Mentzen, Grzegorz Braun, Włodzimierz Skalik and Przemysław Wipler left the presidential palace.
“We will not support either the PO government or the PiS government.
We declared that, in line with our previous announcements, we would support neither the PO nor the PiS government. We will support laws that we consider good and oppose laws that we consider harmful, Sławomir Mentzen said after the meeting of representatives of the Confederation with the President.
We talked about the situation at home and abroad. We have declared that – in line with our previous announcements – we will not support either the Civic Platform government or the Law and Justice government.
Mentzen said.
It is our interest to implement our program. Therefore, we will support all laws we consider good and oppose all laws we consider harmful, regardless of who proposes them.

He added that during the meeting he and the president “exchanged observations on Polish security: energy, food, military and Poland’s relations with the European Union.”
During the meeting, we answered the president’s questions regarding the formation of the coalition. Different variants of coalitions were analyzed in detail – both with other political forces and with us.

We asked the President about his assessment of the situation of the Polish state: about the state of Polish defense, the state of armaments, the transfer of Polish weapons to Ukraine, relations with the authorities of the Ukrainian state, the attitude towards towards the conflict in the Middle East, on the issues of the pandemic treaty, but also on the issues of securing and guaranteeing property, human lives in the Polish state and Polish sovereignty, as well as on a possible amendment of the EU treaties

Mentzen announced that “the Confederation has received an invitation from the President for further contact,” which, as he assured, “they will certainly use during this term of the Sejm, as long as Andrzej Duda is President, to implement the agreement to ensure. program of the Confederacy.”
Meeting with the opposition at the presidential palace
On Tuesday and Wednesday, President Andrzej Duda invited representatives of the electoral commissions that will be represented in the next Sejm for consultations. Each of the election committees meets separately, in the order according to the results achieved by these committees in the elections. The president announced that he would ask politicians about their ideas for investments, the economy, energy and defense, as well as potential candidates for prime minister.
Representatives of the Confederacy were the last to speak to the president. The group was represented by the President of the National Movement Krzysztof Bosak, the President of New Hope Sławomir Mentzen, the President of the Confederation of the Polish Crown Grzegorz Braun and members of the new term of the Sejm – Włodzimierz Skalik and Przemysław Wipler.
The President was accompanied at the consultation by the Head of the President’s Chancellery, Grażyna Ignaczak-Bandych, Ministers Małgorzata Paprocka and Wojciech Kolarski, as well as the Head of the President’s Office, Marcin Mastalerek.
