Morocco sent emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinians on the instructions of King Mohammed VI, chairman of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Jerusalem committee. This was reported by TASS Referring to a communique of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The diplomatic service stated that two military planes carrying humanitarian aid left the Royal Air Force base in Kenitra on Tuesday evening and headed for the airport in El-Arish, Egypt.

It was announced that the aid provided by the Kingdom of Morocco consisted of a significant amount of food, medical supplies and water. An agreement was reached with Egyptian and Palestinian authorities on the procedure for sending emergency aid.

The fourth convoy, previously consisting of eight trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip passed Rafah checkpoint on the border between the Palestinian region and Egypt. Humanitarian aid supplies were unloaded to the Palestinian side of the border gate. Previously, a “caravan” of 20 vehicles brought medicine, medical supplies and canned food to Palestinians on the Egyptian border.
