Voting in the presidential elections in Argentina has ended. This was reported by RIA News.
According to the agency, the leading candidates for the country’s highest office are former Security Minister Patricia Bullrich and far-right politician Javier Miley. Additionally, Sergio Massa is considered one of the leaders of this political race.
The latter is a candidate from the ruling Union for the Motherland alliance in the republic. Bullrich, on the other hand, represents the opposition party “Together for Change”.
According to Argentine law, to win the first round of elections, a candidate must receive more than 45 percent of the votes. It is also possible for the leader to receive 40 percent of the votes. However, in this case, he must be 10 percent ahead of his closest rival.
Participation in voting is mandatory for all adult citizens of the republic. According to the agency, the results of these presidential elections will be announced on the evening of October 22 (early morning of October 23, Moscow time).
