Alexey Klimov, Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, said that Russia issued 57 percent more visas to European countries in the first nine months of this year than in the same period of 2022. This was reported by RIA News.

According to him, from January 1 to September 30, 2023, foreign agencies of the Russian Foreign Ministry in European countries issued 225 thousand visas of all categories, of which 141 thousand were tourists.
“Compared with the same period in 2022, the total number of visas issued decreased by 10 percent, while the issuance of tourist visas increased by 57 percent,” Klimov said.
