“The future prime minister must inform about the allocation of ministries to coalition partners, and the formations should not compete with each other over who wants what,” said Włodzimierz Czarzasty, co-chair of the New Left.
The left won 8.61 percent of the vote in Sunday’s elections, resulting in 26 seats in the Sejm. In addition, the group will include nine senators.
Włodzimierz Czarzasty, assessing the result of his formation in the parliamentary elections, emphasized that the left would co-govern after 18 years.
These are the most important things
– added.
First we will talk about the coalition, and then there will be coherent information about the effects of the talks, which should come from the candidate for prime minister.
– he pointed out.
Secrets of the Left
Czarzasty admitted that the left knows what it wants to include in the coalition agreement, but will not inform about this before the conversation.
We believe that agreement on this must first be reached within the coalition
– he said.
The future Prime Minister must inform about the allocation of ministries to coalition partners, and not the formations should compete with each other over who wants what.
– added.
No one will have my permission to inquire about it without forming this into a potential coalition with the head of the government
– he pointed out.
Coalition talks on behalf of the left will be led by the club’s head, Krzysztof Gawkowski, and the club’s secretary, Dariusz Wieczorek. Wieczorek admitted in an interview with PAP that his formation will internally consider by the end of the week which areas in the potential new government will be the object of their interest.
We assume that discussions about the details will start next week
– added.
