We strongly emphasize that Law and Justice will always support the Polish countryside and Polish farmers – MEP Beata Szydło stated today at a meeting in Proszowice (Lesser Poland Voivodeship). According to her, the government has concrete proposals for the countryside.
The former prime minister met voters at the agricultural fair in Proszowice, where growers from this agricultural district sell their crops.
As Beata Szydło recalled, during the PiS convention in Przysucha, which was dedicated to rural issues, the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of this party, Jarosław Kaczyński, and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Robert Telus, presented “proposals that we want to appeal to Polish farmers – these are mainly specific actions that our government is taking.”
According to her, the actions for rural areas are twofold: they are aimed at developing towns and cities and at ensuring the country’s food security.
We want Polish villages to develop, have the same opportunities as cities, have good infrastructure and be able to use all the projects that the Law and Justice government is preparing.
– Szydło explained.
Sustainable development
According to her, an example of solutions for farmers in the field of food security is the agricultural fair in Proszowice.
It’s about promoting local products, and the fair in Proszowice is a good example of that. Farmers from these areas, connecting and cooperating, use projects and funds from local programs established by the government for the development of smaller towns
– indicated the former Prime Minister.
Our goal is primarily sustainable, even and fair development, so that large cities can develop, but we focus strongly on smaller centers so that everyone has the same opportunities.
– Szydło emphasized, noting: “We not only talk about it, but it is also reflected in our projects, our proposals, which are aimed at local authorities.”
As she emphasized, “without Polish farmers there would be no development of Poland.”
The Polish economy and all the good things we can say about Polish development today are also largely thanks to your work
– added the MEP.
Help for farmers
The United Right government, Szydło noted, values Polish agriculture and “will defend Polish agriculture.” As an example of such an action, she pointed to the grain crisis related to grain imports from Ukraine.
We were able to meet this challenge, we were able to change the decisions imposed by the European Union, so that the security of the development of Polish agriculture was guaranteed.
– said the politician.
As she stated, “we will certainly continue to help those who need help, but it will certainly not be at the expense of Polish farmers.”
Szydło recalled that during the convention in Przysucha, a package of twelve proposals for implementation was accepted and submitted by agricultural unions to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
This has been accepted and will be implemented as soon as our government can continue its work
– Szydło stated.
