A military unit will be established in Janów Lubelski; it will be a logistics battalion that will be part of the 4th Logistic Brigade – said Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak during a meeting with the residents of this city.
At the beginning of Friday’s meeting in Janów Lubelski, Błaszczak emphasized that he wanted to convey a message regarding the construction of Polish army units in the eastern part of the country, including the Lublin region.
There will be a military unit in Janów Lubelski. The Polish army will be stationed
– he announced.
As he explained, it will be a logistics battalion that is part of the 4th Logistics Brigade.
The minister notes that discussions have already taken place with local authorities and Staatsbosbeheer.
We have the result. The Polish Army acquired real estate from the State Forests with the support of the local government, especially the local government of Janów County, where it will be a military unit.
– he specified.
In the context of the opposition to the EU relocation mechanism, the head of the Ministry of National Defense said, among other things, that the government often “goes against the grain” but does so in the interests of Poles.
We can say that it would be easy, because you could agree, and then somehow deceive, accept or not accept. But it would end in disaster, that’s the policy. By the way, in 2015 the government of the PO-PSL coalition agreed to accept – then they said that only a few thousand (migrants)
– said Błaszczak.
In his opinion, “these few thousand would quickly turn into several dozen, then several hundred, and then this process would no longer be controllable.”
That is why we say a firm ‘no’ to the relocation mechanism. We say a firm no to those who want to cross the Polish border illegally
– said the minister.
The head of the Ministry of Defense also referred to the attack on Legia Warszawa players and activists in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
It turned out that the services of this progressive country (…) committed acts of violence against footballers, activists and Poles. We will and will defend every citizen of ours abroad. That is why the Dutch ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tomorrow to explain why Poles were treated this way. This is not acceptable
– said Błaszczak.
Armament of the Polish Army
He also referred to the armament of the Polish army and anti-aircraft defenses.
We started all over again. When we came to the Ministry of Defense in 2015 – ladies and gentlemen, it is a shame – there was none, the anti-aircraft defenses had actually collapsed.
– said the head of the Ministry of National Defense, assessing that it “would have ended in disaster if it had not been for the victory of Law and Justice.”
Missile defense is for the first time in history
– added.
While in the Lublin region on Friday, he also talked about helicopters, recalling that he had ordered AW101 and AW149 helicopters from PZL-Świdnik to equip the Polish army.
We are determined to improve the security of our country in order to raise the standard of living in Poland. And we succeed
– said Błaszczak.
The head of the Ministry of Defense also encouraged people to participate in the parliamentary elections, vote for PiS candidates and take part in the referendum.
It is also very important that you say ‘no’ four times to the questions asked in the referendum
– he appealed.
On October 15 – the day of the parliamentary elections – a referendum will be held in which the following questions will be asked: ‘Do you support the sale of state assets to foreign entities, which leads to the loss of control by Polish women and men over strategic sectors of the economy?”, “Do you support raising the retirement age, including raising the retirement age again to 67 for women and men?”, “Do you support the removal of the barrier on the border between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of White -Russia?” and “Do you support accepting thousands of illegal immigrants from the Middle East and Africa, in line with the forced relocation mechanism imposed by European bureaucracies?”
