Italy does not rule out supplying Ukraine with a “symbolic quantity” of long-range Storm Shadow missiles, but Rome has no plans to step forward. This was reported by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. RIA News.
The material says Italy will include Aster 30 missiles for the Samp-T battery and spare parts for maintenance in the new military aid package to Ukraine, but “not as much as Kiev wants.”
“As for the long-range Storm Shadow missiles, the question is more complicated; they can hit Crimea, and the government does not yet intend to step forward, as the British, French, Americans and Germans did,” the publication writes.
La Repubblica writes that the Italian government “does not rule out an almost symbolic supply” of these missiles, especially several units, and reminds that the country’s Armed Forces have 200 Storm Shadow missiles in stock.
