Poland will issue a very strong veto and we will block the adoption of conclusions that imply an obligation to accept illegal immigration. The migration pact contains exactly such a solution, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assured in a conversation with journalists on Wednesday.
. It should be emphasized that it was MPs from Tusk’s party who voted to accelerate the implementation of the migration pact
– the Prime Minister told journalists on Wednesday. He added that Donald Tusk implements the policies that they tell him to do in Europe – in this case they told him to vote for the regulation that implements the migration pact.

Veto in Grenada
That is why, when I go to Grenada, because the European summit starts there tomorrow, I can promise all my compatriots that Poland will definitely veto very strongly and that we will block the adoption of conclusions that include a commitment to accept illegal immigration. The Migration Pact contains such a solution. Poland will strongly oppose this
– said Morawiecki.
The head of government said that we have irrefutable evidence of Donald Tusk’s policies.
Why didn’t he want a referendum? Why did he, and his party, vote against the referendum? Because all they want is illegal immigration
– noted the Prime Minister.
When asked what the government’s planned actions were in connection with blocking the implementation of the migration pact, he recalled the years 2015-2019.
At the time it was theoretically impossible to block this, but Poland placed a strong veto and in June 2018 our opinion prevailed and we included in the conclusions of the minutes of the European Council the lack of possibility of forced relocations. If the PiS government comes to power after October 15, we will tackle this problem in the same way we have tackled it so far.
– he assured.
The Prime Minister noted that in Poland the migration pact, the admission of illegal immigrants or the payment for not accepting illegal immigrants will not apply if there is a PiS government.
Only we have proven that, despite this European madness, the madness that has already unfolded in 2016-2017, we have put an end to it and said a firm ‘no’.
– he emphasized.
The final part of the Migration and Asylum Pact was adopted in Brussels on Wednesday during a meeting of ambassadors of the Member States to the EU. Poland and Hungary were against. Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria abstained. This concerns so-called crisis regulation. The decision opens the way for starting negotiations with the European Parliament on the final form of the new regulations. A debate also took place on Wednesday at the EP plenary in Strasbourg entitled “The need to quickly adopt the asylum and migration package.”
What did Tusk want to do?
At the European Council in Granada, Spain, I will veto illegal immigration for the second time, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Łomża on Wednesday.
During the meeting with the residents of Łomża, the head of government showed “Tusk’s suitcase”, which – as he said – contains documents on the consent for the forced relocation of migrants.
The Prime Minister pointed out that “there are documents in it that confirm that the Tusk government and the Civic Platform government agreed to tens of thousands of people, migrants.”
Just a few days ago, Tusk’s party in Europe demanded the acceleration of the adoption of regulations regarding the migration pact, which includes forced illegal immigration, and if someone does not want to accept this, he will have to pay huge fines.
– said Morawiecki.
That is why, as he added, we must be particularly sensitive to the issue of illegal immigration today.
I have a special message for Polish women. Ladies, Muslim immigrants and women’s rights: these two things cannot be reconciled
– said the Prime Minister.
Women are exceptionally respected in our culture, in our Polish culture, in European culture, you could say, although in our Polish culture this is much more the case.
– he emphasized.
The Prime Minister recalled that he had issued a “hard veto” on the migration pact during the European Council in 2018.
We then rejected the migration pact in its entirety
– the Prime Minister pointed out.
I can promise you that this time tomorrow I will be about 3,000. kilometers away, in the south, in Granada, because Spain holds the presidency of the European Union. And there, at the European Council, I will veto illegal immigration for the second time. You can be sure I will
– said the head of government.
