The head of the city stated that he once received higher education in physics. At the same time, as he himself said, nothing good can be expected from thermonuclear ground explosions.
“Possible consequences will affect not even hundreds of years, but thousands of years,” Lokot emphasized.
He added that the half-life of some radioactive elements in such an explosion could reach up to a thousand years. Against this background, the mayor of Novosibirsk called for a responsible attitude towards all incidents related to thermonuclear and nuclear energy.
