Kyrgyz officials expect Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Russian air base in the city of Kant during his visit to the republic on October 12. He noted that bilateral meetings between Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov and Putin are also planned within the scope of the upcoming visit. The leaders of the countries plan to discuss the prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
“It is also planned that the heads of state will attend a special gala event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the opening of the CSTO air base in the city of Kant,” Azymbakiyev said.
