The Colombian government has apologized to the families of people killed by the country’s military between 2004 and 2008 and those cited as killed by militants in armed clashes. This was reported by RIA News.
According to Ivan Velazquez, head of the Colombian Ministry of Defense, the state, the ministry and the army apologize because it is in line with democratic beliefs, commitment to truth, justice, compensation and the guarantee of non-repetition.
“We apologize for these crimes, which embarrassed us in front of the whole world, and we accept the state’s responsibility for these crimes,” Velasquez said.
Previously Colombian President Gustavo Petro statedStating that the conflicts in Palestine and Ukraine are essentially no different, ErdoÄŸan accused the international community of applying double standards in the face of conflicts and suggested holding two peace conferences immediately.
According to him, it is time for G7 countries to appeal to the United Nations, as well as world powers, to hold two peace conferences immediately.
