If anyone had the idea of attacking Poland 2050, he or she committed political suicide, my party is not an “electoral reservoir for the Civic Platform” – emphasized the leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, on RMF FM radio.
Hołownia: We are not an electoral reservoir for PO
Hołownia was asked to assess the actions of the leaders of the Civic Platform and its supporters on social media, who a few weeks ago tried to weaken the ratings of Poland 2050 and the Third Way.
The politician described these actions as “political suicide”, disastrous for the opposition to the United Right. He added that his party is not an “electoral reservoir for the Civic Platform,” and that his goal is to rally an electorate that does not want to return to the way it was before 2015.
A platform is needed, but not itself. If this were the case, the country could form a government on its own
– he said.
According to him, the existence of Poland 2050 and the Third Way is a safeguard against possible early elections in 2024, because its environment attracts an electorate that could vote for the Confederation because of its belief in the free market, and because voters are disappointed with United Right. .
Everyone on this side of the political stage understood a simple truth: either the Third Way or a third term for PiS
– he said.
Hołownia emphasized that his absence from the Civic Coalition march in Warsaw was agreed with Donald Tusk due to the need to mobilize the rural electorate.
The largest percentage of indecisive people are in rural areas and small towns
– noted the politician. He added that in talks with the PO leader “we explained why we are not going to the march.”
He announced that in the event of a possible coalition with PO and Left, his party would “like to engage in defense, energy, climate and education.”
Today, however, sharing feces is absurd
– said Hołownia. As he noted, he will decide whether to run for president after the 2025 parliamentary elections.
Accident on the A1
In the context of the recent accident on the A1 highway, which killed a family of three, the leader of Poland 2050 spoke out in favor of ‘law enforcement’.
In this terrible accident, two things happened: the person responsible for the accident played with the car and was aware of the impunity, but I do not understand how he escaped the hands of law enforcement authorities for so long.
– noted the politician. He added that one of the most effective methods of law enforcement is the expansion of the speed measurement network, especially in built-up areas.
Szymon Hołownia did not answer the question about the possibility of introducing in Poland the model applicable in some Scandinavian countries, where for some offenses there is no upper limit on fines for drivers, and the amount depends on the annual income of the person responsible for the violation.

– said Hołownia.
““Show specific solutions”
The leader of Poland 2050 said part of his party’s strategy is “showing specific solutions.” As an example, he cited the reduction of queues for specialist doctors thanks to the refinancing of visits to private hospitals by the National Health Fund.
Healthcare is a constitutional obligation of the state
– he emphasized. He added that another demand of his group is to make the increase in the minimum wage conditional on negotiations with entrepreneurs who will be willing to increase it if the tax burden is reduced.
