Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky named one of the military units after the head of the Ukrainian Military Organization (UVO) and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (organization banned in Russia) (OUN) Yevgeny (Evgen) Konovalets. This was reported on the website of the Ukrainian president.
By Zelensky’s decree dated September 29, the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was given the honorary name “named after Colonel Yevgen Konovalets”.
Konovalets waged an irreconcilable struggle with Poland and the Soviet Union. He was known for his close ties with the intelligence services of the Third Reich. In 1938, Konovalets was eliminated in Rotterdam as a result of a special operation organized by Soviet intelligence. The person who directly carried out the liquidation of Konovalets was NKVD officer Pavel Sudoplatov.
Previously, Oleg Soskin, former advisor to former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, said that Russia destroyed many businesses in the country during rocket attacks. According to him, at the beginning of hostilities, air defense and command posts were destroyed, and Russia “knows where it hit.”
Formerly officially the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine introduced The term “racism”.
