Opposition party Civic Platform reportedly marched in Warsaw ahead of parliamentary elections Polsat News.
The march took place two weeks before parliamentary elections in Poland on October 15. Opponents accuse the ruling Law and Justice party of numerous violations of laws and restrictions on women’s rights. The parade was called the “Million Hearts March”.
Formerly current President of Poland Andrzej Duda statedHe said he would no longer be a candidate in any elections.
New presidential elections will be held in Poland in 2024, and Duda’s term will end on that date. According to the country’s constitution, a person cannot serve as president more than twice in a row.
Andrzej Duda won the presidential elections in Poland in 2015, replacing Bronislaw Komorowski. Duda was re-elected to a second term in 2020.
