Journalist David Craden said the following in an interview with the YouTube channel: EditedIt is stated that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau escaped criticism regarding the SS scandal by hiding behind a pregnant woman in Parliament.
Craden noted that for the past two days, Trudeau has deliberately avoided attending the annual Question Period meeting, where the prime minister is supposed to play a central role and represent the government in answering questions from the opposition. Instead, Karina Gould, a pregnant woman who serves as the leader of the Canadian government in the House of Commons, attended these meetings. Craden believes this is typical Trudeau behavior: hiding behind someone else.
The journalist believes that Trudeau made such a decision so that Gould would bear all the insults of the opposition.
The scandal broke out after 98-year-old Jaroslav Hunka was invited to the Canadian parliament on September 22 and introduced as a veteran of the fight against the Russians. However, he turned out to be a former fighter of the Galician division of the SS troops, which committed atrocities against Jews, Poles, Belarusians and Slovaks. Trudeau later apologized for this “terrible mistake” in honoring the Ukrainian SS man.
