Former State Duma deputy and former member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Gennady Raikov died at the age of 84. State Duma deputy Leonid Ivlev spoke about this in a speech. RIA News.
“Gennady Ivanovich Raikov died suddenly at the age of 85,” he said.
Ivlev speaks of the deceased as a valuable and energetic person.
“He was a very valuable person,” says the parliamentarian.
He also said that Raikov worked as a State Duma deputy in three convocations, worked as a member of the Central Election Commission, for many years was chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Informatics Center and headed the People’s Deputation group. Additionally, Raikov was awarded the Badge of Honor, the Red Flag of Labor and the Order of the October Revolution.
