On Monday, PiS MEP Anna Zalewska submitted an interpellation to the European Commission on the safety of Poles and Europeans in connection with the influx of illegal immigrants to the EU.
Due to the European Commission’s interest in Poland’s migration policy and the protection of the EU’s external borders, I would like to assure all Members of the European Commission that the Polish Government – despite the subversive policies of Polish members (groups) of the EPP and the Social Council Democrats (in the EP) and the difficulties on the part of MEPs in the form of debates and exhibitions that damage the good name of the Polish services and the Polish state – effectively defends the EU’s eastern border in the light of a hybrid attack inspired by Lukashenko and Putin. I am surprised by the fact that the European Commission’s actions are in line with the ongoing election campaign in Poland
– we read in the interpellation.
Anna Zalewska demands an answer to the question of what actions the European Commission has taken to support Poland in the fight against the influx of illegal immigrants from Belarus. In addition, the MEP wants to know what the Commission has done to protect Poland from the danger associated with the uncontrolled inflow of illegal immigrants into the EU after 2014, and what control measures the EC applies to EU Member States in connection with the admission of migrants from outside the EU. The Polish politician also wonders whether the European Commission supports the idea of Polish MEPs EPP and Renew to dismantle the wall on the Polish-Belarusian border.
