He recalled that he had made such demands in a letter to the European Commission a few months ago, but that despite talks and dialogue, the response was “very slow”.
Subsidies for fertilizers
Because we received such an answer, we did not ask Brussels, but a few days ago we introduced appropriate regulations ourselves to protect the Polish farmer from even greater destabilization of the market, because the market is already very difficult.

The head of government said that PiS is reintroducing fertilizer subsidies. He also said that he had spoken with the Minister of Agriculture in recent days about special, additional stabilization programs, including subsidies for the reconstruction of pigs.

He recalled the support for farmers and entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 pandemic, the drought in 2018 and 2019, as well as the energy crisis and the Russian attack on Ukraine. At the same time, recalling the activities of the Civic Platform, he said that “when a crisis broke out ten years ago, (…) even though an entrepreneur, including an agricultural entrepreneur, called for help, they were proud of the fact that there was no intervention.”
