The Confederation is a force of political responsibility for Poland and Poles; for a good balance between long-term national interests and current economic benefits – said on Saturday one of the leaders of the Confederation, Krzysztof Bosak, at the convention organized in Spodek in Katowice.
During the convention, the election slogan was presented: “We can do anything!”
We are at the heart, at the height of our electoral campaign, and this great Confederation Convention is the moment when we remember the main slogans, the main principles and the main issues for which we are going to the elections together. to overturn the table where all other political parties sit
– Bosak shouted.
As he said, the Confederation is the only parliamentary power that is not in the European Parliament, “where they are all playing for one purpose.”
And we are the only ones who represent a counter-program that is favorable to the Poles and unfavorable to the bureaucrats
– he emphasized.
Bosak said it will take long and hard work to implement the plans, “because it doesn’t happen automatically” and “the struggle is spread over years.”
Everyone is analyzing the next election outcome from the perspective of what will happen in a month. When we work politically, we ask ourselves what will happen in 5 years, what will happen in 10 years, what will happen in 15, 50 and 100 years
– he declared.
He added that this gives us the courage to tackle “unpopular topics”, “to do something that no one else in Polish politics does – to give ourselves the comfort of telling the truth, regardless of whether it is popular , whether it comes from opinion polls. or qualitative research.”
At this stage, society already understands what we have to say. And recent years have shown that in many ways we were right. A few months or even a few years earlier than others
– said Bosak.
He noted that there are no equal rules in the run-up to the elections.
Every one of our messages has been and will be distorted, every one of our sentences will be taken out of context, and anyway, despite censorship in the mainstream media, despite censorship lasting more than a year on the most popular social media platform, despite several attempts To manipulate algorithms, we still reach society with what is true
– added.
Because people have a natural desire for the truth, they also have a natural objection to being misled, to being treated without respect. And this is exactly how the Poles have been treated in recent years
– he argued
He pointed out, among other things: abuse during the Covid pandemic. He emphasized that the Confederacy’s leaders at the time “supported normal people in exercising their civil rights, economic freedom, and access to a normal social life.”
According to Bosak, in the longer term there is a need to ‘form a real counter-elite’.
It is not enough to achieve a good election result once. We must have personnel who will replace these demoralized people who have currently occupied all positions of influence: in the public media, which have become party media, in state-owned enterprises, in the government,” he said. “We need hundreds, thousands of people. They must be recruited from ordinary Poles who feel civic pride in their hearts
– added.
Bosak argued that Confederation circles have been doing political work for years not for themselves, but “so that we can leave a better Poland to our children, so that we can look them in the eyes.” He said the Confederation is the only party in which no MP has “sold out to vote with the government for financial benefits.”
If we do not overcome all these negative trends in which our state and society are being manipulated, Poland may decline in the same way as Western countries. We see these trends. Look what’s happening in the European Union. We are the only ones who formulate a program that is beneficial for the citizens, for our country
– declared leader of the National Movement.
Look what they say: we cannot use the veto, even in the areas where we do. You cannot reject the Lisbon Treaty, you cannot reject Fit for 55, you cannot disagree with the Covid fund. Is it true? Of course not. We would reject all of this, but we must replace them
– he screamed.
In EU policy we cannot transfer further powers. The blackmailing has already started that new EU treaties are being drawn up and that we must agree to them. The Confederation says clearly: no treaties in which a single thing is taken from Warsaw and transferred to Brussels. Not really
– he made a reservation.
He argued that the Confederation’s economic program proposals are not radical.
We have developed a realistic and useful program for normal Poles – both those who work and those who run a business, so that they can finally earn a living.
– he argued.
In the context of social programs, he explained that the Confederation is against their development because it knows that “to give something to someone, you must first take something from everyone – if not now, then in the future.”
We are the only one who has a program that is beneficial to the Poles, we are the only one who wants to defend the rights we have. This is not radicalism, this is conservatism. (…) Let’s keep what we have. The Polish economy, for better or for worse, has created a mechanism for this economic development, let’s keep it, let’s not suffocate it with some stupid radicalism
– said Bosak.
In the context of the migration crisis, he emphasized that Poland must be a safe country; he stated, among other things, that PiS is a party of hypocrites. He also stated that the Confederation was the only one that correctly interpreted the dynamics of relations between Poland and Ukraine, which – as he said – was based on the use of Polish naivety and the naivety of politicians in the government.
Naivety – this is the most favorable interpretation for them; naivete or betrayal that they committed
– added.
The Confederation is a force of political responsibility for Poland and Poles. This is the power of responsibility to properly balance long-term national interests and current economic benefits. A confederation is a power that includes people who often have slightly different views but agree on basic principles.
– Bosak emphasized.
He emphasized that the Confederacy has not changed its position on any ideological issue.
Co-Chairman of the Confederation, Chairman of the New Hope Party, Sławomir Menzten, stated in his speech that he “slowly got tired of the stagnation and the constant hearing that nothing can be improved and that it is not even worth it to try.”
Are there laws of nature that say that if it is possible somewhere, it cannot be done here? How is it that in Germany we can have health insurance funds competing for patients, and when in Poland we talk about health insurance funds competing for patients, we learn that this is not possible, that it is impossible, that it is populism
– He asked.
Why can they have a simple VAT law in Estonia that is less than 100 pages long, and why in Poland, when I talk about a simple VAT law, I hear that it is impossible, that it is populism, that it is impossible is?
Mentzen continued.
He added that in Germany they can have a voluntary SISTER for entrepreneurs, but in Poland we still hear that this is not possible.
Where does this come from, who forces us to make this system so rubbish?
– He asked.
If politicians from PiS and the Platform are so convinced that nothing can be changed about this and that this is how it should look, they should change their profession and do something else. Because not only do they not want to make changes, they don’t even imagine that these changes are even possible
– he assessed.
“Confederation”; “Grzegorz Braun”; “Thieves”
Both of the leaders’ approximately 30-minute speeches were punctuated by applause and singing. The chants include: “Confederation”, “Grzegorz Braun” or “Thieves” (about political competitors).
The Confederation Convention in Spodek in Katowice brought together several thousand people, mainly young or elderly. Across the hall was a large screen showing spotlights, films, graphics and special effects. In front of the screen was a T-shaped stage, part of the floor of which was also a screen.
The convention began with the a cappella singing of the national anthem. The opening of the event was accompanied by a live performance by Jakub Molęda with a song with the chorus: “We can do anything; what is important to us. And it is so close that victory will be a small gesture. The performance went accompanied by pyrotechnic effects. Loud music with rich lighting and fireworks was also played between the speeches and during the presentations of the party leaders in the districts.
The presentations of the parliamentary candidates were preceded by a spot about women in the Confederation. Then, Klaudia Domagała, who ran for the Senate in Sieradz, said, among other things, that the Confederation’s program means “more protection for women against illegal SIDS, more protection for women in maternity wards.”
During the presentation of the candidates from the first places on the lists (except Anna Bryłka from Konin – only men), a special applause was caused by crossing the stage by Janusz Korwin-Mikke (Warsaw District), who twirled his walking stick his hand, and Grzegorz Braun (Rzeszów district), with a large black robe and a briefcase. None of them spoke Saturday. At the end of the event, the Spodek area was filled with confetti.
