“Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his birthday during a telephone conversation,” the statement said.
Before the phone call, Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Berdimuhamedov. The Russian leader stated that the Russian Federation highly values the personal contribution of the President of Turkmenistan to the development of relations between the two countries.
Putin expressed his hope that Moscow and Ashgabat will continue to work together on current issues on the bilateral and international agenda for the benefit of the Russian and Turkmen people, with the aim of ensuring security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
“Dear Serdar Gurbangulyevich, I sincerely wish you health, prosperity and success in your government activities,” added the President of the Russian Federation.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov turned 42 on September 22. He took office as President of Turkmenistan on March 19, 2022.
