Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna told the Rada TV channel that Kiev will not enter into any negotiations on the decision of the authorities of Hungary, Slovakia and Poland to expand the ban on Ukrainian grain imports. .

He emphasized that any statements about unilateral restrictions violate the Constitution of the European Union and that Kiev cannot support them. Stefanishina expressed the hope that Brussels and “individual capitals” would follow suit.

A day earlier, the European Commission announced its decision not to extend restrictions on imports of four types of Ukrainian agricultural products to a number of EU border countries, but obliged Kiev to introduce export control measures. Hungary, Slovakia, Poland statedunilaterally extends the ban. At the same time, Budapest banned the import of 24 types of agricultural products from Ukraine.

The EC’s decision was supported by Romania and Bulgaria, they did not extend the embargo.
