The first president of Moldova, Mircea Snegur, died (years of presidency: 1990 – 1997). This was reported by former Deputy Prime Minister Konstantin Tampiza on his Facebook page (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
Snegur was 83 years old, he was born in 1940.
According to Tampiz, Snegur died at 23.30 on September 13 due to an incurable disease.
