The judicial reform failed due to outside resistance, but this time it will succeed; we want objective courts that will obey the law – emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister and President of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, on Wednesday in Elbląg.
“They defend these people as if they were independence.”
Jarosław Kaczyński assured during a meeting with the residents of Elbląg that if someone associated with PiS commits abuse, he “will lose his position and the prosecutor will deal with him.”
And what about them? They defend these people as if they were independent. Here I quote Mr. (Sławomir) Neumann, Neumann’s doctrine: “If you stay with us, we will defend independence, and the courts are ours.” And we don’t want anyone else’s judgments, or even our own. No, we want objective courts that respect the law
– he emphasized.
“This time it will work”
The PiS president added that years ago, when he traveled through Poland and spoke about the reform of the judicial system, about the “restoration of the law and basic decency in the judiciary,” there was applause.
I see that it will continue, and that is of course correct, because unfortunately it did not work out due to outside resistance. But this time it will work
– said Kaczynski.
PiS’s main demands regarding the judiciary, which are included in the party’s election manifesto covering the perspective until 2031, include a transparent structure of courts, justices of the peace, the merger of legal advisors and lawyers into one self-government, as well as to make the Supreme Court an “elite court” that focuses “in cases of special importance and extraordinary complaints where there are grossly unfair final judicial decisions.”
