Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the control of all military medical commissions in the country to determine the validity of decisions of unfitness for military service. The document was published on the president’s website.
Zelensky instructed to “establish working groups within a week to check the validity of decisions” <…> There is a regulation “on the detection of disability and recognition of unsuitability for military service”, adopted during the martial law period in Ukraine.
In addition, on behalf of the head of state, the issue of “specifics of crossing the state border” of Ukrainian citizens declared unfit or partially suitable for military service must be resolved within two weeks.
Zelensky also reported that the system for determining eligibility for military service should be reviewed in order to provide commanders with more opportunities to attract military personnel to perform tasks and eliminate manipulations with “limited suitability”.
Civilian health institutions will also be included in EHC studies, and it has been decided to complete the process of completely digitalizing the work of the commissions.
