“I won’t say no, because I want to be honest in politics. I believe that regardless of who governs Poland, we will unfortunately not miss it,” Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) told Polsat News when asked whether his party would raise the retirement age. Would Donald Tusk want such an ally?
Krzysztof Bosak was asked in “Graffiti” about Jan Grabiec’s statement, made before the weekend in the same program, in which the PO spokesman stated that some of the Confederation’s ideas were “interesting”.
We make our political strategy clear. This means that we believe that neither Jarosław Kaczyński deserves to have his power expanded; We believe that the government is being exercised incorrectly and that the program being implemented is unfavorable to the Poles, and that neither Donald Tusk deserves to return to power. We will not support either the PiS government or the Platform. We want political change, program change and a change in the style of doing politics. We say that the Confederation – and we are convinced – is an alternative to this duopoly of both PiS and Platform, which is completely sterile, because these parties are very similar in terms of programs, as we can see after Saturday’s conventions.
– replied Bosak.
He even accused Civic Platform of spreading ideas!
They started to observe the things we say and do. This was visible somewhere halfway through the current term of the Sejm
– he said.
Internship pensions
The Confederation politician was also asked about seniority pensions, the introduction of which was announced by Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Końskie.
If this is to be addressed to all employees, we are absolutely against it, because it is de facto a proposal to further lower the retirement age. When we already have one of the lowest retirement ages in the entire European Union and we have dramatically bad ZUS forecasts about the size of the pension
– he criticized.
Raising the retirement age
There was also a very important question – which will also appear in the referendum scheduled for October 15 – about raising the retirement age. Would the Confederacy do that? Bosak did not want to give a clear answer, but his argument gives us a clear picture.
I won’t say no, because I want to be honest in politics. I believe that no matter who rules Poland, this will unfortunately not escape our notice. This means that as people live longer and longer, as our expenses increase, because, for example, expected healthcare standards increase, healthcare costs increase, who should pay for that?
– he said.
First of all, as a man I have a big problem with the fact that there is such a big difference in the retirement age of women and men. Women live longer and retire earlier, which means that women receive statistically lower pensions, but in addition this means that they spend a significant part of their lives retired and not professionally active. This is where I’m having the biggest problem and I’m wondering what exactly is causing it. Traditionally this has been explained by the fact that women make great efforts to have children, and in the case of the current generation of retirees this is certainly true, but if we look at the younger generation, where the propensity to have children is lower and lower, it seems to me that this justification no longer applies to the entire generation pool. Here we need to revisit this problem
– he continued. Interestingly enough, equalizing the retirement age for men and women is a postulate of… Ryszard Petru, who took up the fight against the Confederation as his mission.

Petru – who competes with Sławomir Mentzen for the title of a true liberal – is a candidate for the Sejm of the Third Way list. However, Bosak does not have a good opinion about the program of the PSL and Poland 2050 coalition.
The story of PSL and Szymon Hołownia is this: low taxes, expansion of social security, national debts, no austerity. After all, this is for the naive, who believes in that?
– he said.
Some Southern politicians (here this is especially visible in the case of Bosak) try to make the best, almost technocratic impression. At the same time, they excluded themselves from the possibility of post-election cooperation with the PO and the rest of the opposition. Interestingly, our recent findings say otherwise, or even an existing ‘plan B’. And importantly, platform politicians are clearly confused when asked about this issue. Would it be easy for both parties to reach an agreement on raising the retirement age?
– WE REVEAL. Tusk is already beginning to understand that he will not take power on his own. Now it’s about implementing the opposition’s secret ‘plan B’.
