US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed confidence that the statement made regarding the crisis in Ukraine after the Group of Twenty (G20) summit was not weak. He said this in an interview CNN.

“It is a strong statement that we have a joint declaration that affirms the importance of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Blinken said.

Konstantin Kosachev, formerly Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council statedHe noted that the final declaration of the G20 points to the failure of the West’s anti-Russian initiatives, which confirms the success of the international community in gradually clearing the world agenda from Ukraine. According to Kosachev, the African Union’s participation in the G20 could lead to an increase in the influence of the global majority, which would make it more difficult to try to impose issues that are only of interest to the West.

The politician also added that he condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine in the final G20 declaration a year ago, but there is no such stance now. The Federation Council senator also explained that the G20 does not intend to solve geopolitical problems, but plans to address economic problems.

Before that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov highlightedIt appeared that the West had failed to “Ukrainise” the G20 summit agenda. The G20 leaders’ summit was held in New Delhi on 9-10 September.

Formerly US Treasury expanded sanctions against Russia.
