The district electoral commission in Rzeszów refused to register the Third Way candidate with the Senate in District No. Nizhny and Stalowa Wola counties in Podkarpacie. The reason is the lack of a signature of the electoral commission’s plenipotentiary. Originally Małgorzata Zych was the candidate for the Third Way in this constituency. However, the decision of the Senate Pact signatories caused it to lose its recommendation. According to the media, Zych would be replaced by Paweł Bartoszek, a local government official and social worker.
The Rzeszów OKW has not registered the Third Way candidate with the Senate. Why?
According to the Friday resolution of the Rzeszów OKW, the coalition proposed a candidate on September 6 this year. by a person authorized by the electoral representative of the Third Way Commission.
As can be read in the motivation of the Electoral Commission, the nomination of a candidate, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code, is made in writing by the election lawyer or a person authorized by him.
If a candidate is nominated by a person authorized by a proxy, a document confirming the authorization granted and the details of the person authorized by the proxy will be attached to the application.
– can be read in the justification.
As emphasized by the OKW, the authorization must, in accordance with the law, “be provided with the date of issue and the handwritten signature of the electoral representative”.
The authorized submission to the district electoral commission in Rzeszów was not provided with the handwritten signature of the electoral representative
– noted in his OKW resolution.
It also added that the Election Code does not provide for the option of electronic signatures on notices submitted to district election commissions.
Therefore, the authorization submitted to the commission must be signed by the electoral representative and delivered in the original to the district electoral commission in Rzeszów.
– can be read in the resolution.

Małgorzata Zych, Putin and the Lost Recommendation
Originally, Małgorzata Zych was the candidate of the Third Way in District No. 54. However, due to the decision of the Senate Pact signatories, it lost its recommendation. According to the media, Zych would be replaced by Paweł Bartoszek, a local government official and social worker.
Zych posted a message on the X platform (formerly Twitter) in which she refers to the resolution of the Rzeszów OKW.
After I was removed from the #PaktSenacki lists, the Third Way was unable to register my “replacement”. Justice has been done
she said.
In the previous elections, in 2019, Zych came out of the list of the Confederation, until recently she was also the leader of the Confederation Club in Tarnobrzeg. She worked closely with Grzegorz Braun, a member of parliament from this party, and co-organized the conference “Stop Ukrainization of Poland” in Tarnobrzeg.
Last week at the Poles of the Future Campus in Olsztyn, PSL President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was asked why people who cannot loudly call Putin a criminal are on the lists of the democratic opposition. The PSL leader then replied that if Małgorzata Zych did not make a clear statement of condemnation of Vladimir Putin for what he did in Ukraine, “she would not be a candidate”.
In response to these words, Zych released a statement calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal”. After being told she had lost her recommendation in the Senate election and would not be a candidate of any of the parties that made up the pact, Zych released a new statement saying, among other things, that “it is not in line with the values of a democratic state governed by law and Christian values that Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently calling a “war criminal” such as the judgment of the International Criminal Court, for which he is accused of unlawfully deporting children from the occupied territories from Ukraine to Russia, has not yet been adopted.
