The KO candidate decided to compare the situation of women in Poland and Yemen. Aleksandra Wiśniewska argues in an interview for “Fact” that there is a “more liberal” law in a country on the Arabian Peninsula than in our country. Internet users did not leave a dry thread on it. It only took a moment to refute these absurd claims.
In the intention of Civic Platform strategists, the figure of Wiśniewska would probably fit perfectly with all the wishes of this party’s voters. A young woman who lived in the West will tell the Poles about their shortcomings and their closedness to the world. However, Tusk’s party fixers don’t realize that the reality looks a little different and the Poles are no longer moved by the story of the big world, which is better than the Polish corner.
This time, Wiśniewska decided to compare the situation in Poland with that in Yemen. She argued that women’s rights were “more liberal” there. She also spoke of “condemnation to suffering” and “dehumanization of women”.
In Poland, many people forget that women’s rights are human rights. We cannot treat women as objects without the right to vote. Women’s rights are more liberal in Yemen in this regard. I hope that as women we will not be afraid to live in Poland. I hope that the officers of our state will not be able to make us suffer. Poland’s current abortion law dehumanizes women
– says Wisniewska in an interview.

Social media users referred to Wiśniewska’s words. The PO candidate was presented with basic facts about Yemen and the situation of women in this country.
In Yemen, abortion is allowed only when the woman’s life is in danger, and must be approved by her husband, and usually by the local sheikh. Not only the person who performs the abortion is punished, but also the woman. Of the other “attractions”, 15% of women have their clitoris removed (FGM).
I lived in Arabia for twenty years, on the border with Yemen. Women in Islam, even in the wealthy Arabia, can do NOTHING without the consent of their father or brother. In their absence, her 12-year-old son becomes the mother’s guardian. And in Yemen the poorest. in the region, arranged marriages 8y. God save idiots
Have you ever been to Yemen at all?
A 2006 UN report found that 14% of Yemeni girls married before the age of 15 and a whopping 52% before the age of 18.
Sharia law applies in Yemen.
– Marital rape is not considered a crime due to the law stating that “a woman has no right to refuse her husband.”
“The testimony of one man balances that of two women.
A Muslim woman cannot marry a non-Muslim man.
Women inherit half of what men inherit.
— According to UNICEF, in Yemen, 12 women die every day during childbirth and every hour during childbirth.
— Every fifth hospital in Yemen can provide care for mother and child
— More than 8 million women in Yemen need the help of a gynaecologist

Women in Islam. They have ‘rights’ there. Yemen.
Do you want to start equating the situation of women in Poland with that in Yemen? Are you sure?
Near East. Women’s rights in one picture: the struggle for the right to go to school, a sharia marriage, refugees from Syria treated as inhumane… and women from Yemen! Depriving.
Then go to Yemen.
