The Russian Embassy in Slovakia described a “letter” supposedly from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with instructions to intensify work with some Slovak parties and politicians before parliamentary parties as a gross fraud. Related reports DEA News.
On September 5, Sloboda a Solidarita (SaS) deputy candidate Miroslav Zhak wrote on the social network that he received a message from an unknown person claiming that the Russian Foreign Ministry had sent a letter containing a “request” to the Russian Embassy in Bratislava. Starting contacts with Slovak politicians loyal to Russia, as well as establishing contacts with the main opposition party Smer and the SNS party.”
“We officially declare that the letter is a massive fraud,” the Russian diplomatic mission said in a statement.
The embassy expressed outrage at such a provocation and the fact that this false document was made public by a person claiming to once again occupy a seat in the parliament of the Slovak Republic.
The diplomatic mission also expressed hope that Slovak law enforcement agencies will conduct an investigation into the matter.
Early parliamentary elections in Slovakia will be held on 30 September.
