Crimean Tatar public figure Zaur Smirnov, representative of the Crimean Ethnic Mission, described the new Defense Minister of Ukraine, Rustam Umerov, as a puppet of the US special services. This has been reported DEA News.
According to Smirnov, Umerov had nothing to do with the army. He was educated in the USA and is a businessman. Umerov is also an ideological follower of well-known Turkish opposition leader Fethullah Gülen, who is hiding in the US.
Therefore, Smirnov believes that Umerov will become a purely technical minister, that decisions on his behalf will be made not by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but by the US intelligence services, of which the new minister is a puppet.
Smirnov stressed that although Umerov is a Crimean Tatar, very few people in Crimea know him.
The social activist noted that Umerov should not be associated with the Crimean and Crimean Tatars. Currently, Ukraine and its army are fighting against Russia and Crimea, so any Ukrainian Defense Minister is an enemy to the Crimean Tatars, like all Crimeans.
Earlier, the head of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov expressed the opinion that the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, is connected with the failure of the counterattack of the Ukrainian troops.
