The diplomat noted that the enlargement process of BRICS started during the presidency of the People’s Republic of China. Liu Shaobing stated that more than 20 countries applied to join the BRICS, and 6 more states were accepted to the organization. He added that the expansion of the association is expected by the international community.
“It was a historic beginning. We want Turkey to join the BRICS like China. We will develop together with developing countries. We will grow together. The expansion of BRICS gave confidence. It strengthened the sense of solidarity between countries. This is also important for international justice,” said the diplomat. .
