As he added: “Małgorzata Zych will not be a candidate of any of the groups that make up the Senate Pact in the Senate elections.”
Małgorzata Zych came off the Confederation list in the 2019 elections and until recently was also the leader of the Confederation Club in Tarnobrzeg. She worked closely with Grzegorz Braun, a member of parliament of this party, and also co-organized the conference “Stop the Ukrainering of Poland” in Tarnobrzeg, among others. In the upcoming elections, she would be a candidate for the Senate, recommended by PSL as part of the Senate Pact in District 54 (Stalowa Wola) in Podkarpacie.
On Tuesday at the Poles of the Future Campus in Olsztyn, PSL President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was asked why people who cannot label Putin as a criminal even today are on the lists of the democratic opposition. Kosiniak-Kamysz replied that if Zych did not make a clear statement condemning Vladimir Putin for what he did in Ukraine, “she will not be our candidate.”
In response to these words, Zych released a statement on Wednesday calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal.”
Late words?
In a statement, Zych wrote, among other things, that she unequivocally condemns “Russia’s brutal aggression against Ukraine”.
The crimes committed by the Russians make Vladimir Putin, who is responsible for this aggression, a war criminal. All crimes committed during this war must be held accountable and the perpetrators punished
– emphasized the candidate for the Senate.
In the further part of Zych’s statement you can read that, based on the PSL recommendation, she adopts the program and values that guide this group.
These values include siding with the principles of a democratic state governed by law, freedom and respect for human dignity, which are being violated in the war caused by Russia
Zych said.
