“Waldemar Pawlak, deputy prime minister and head of the economy ministry in the PO-PSL governments, should appear before the committee on Russian outflow, said Development and Technology Minister Waldemar Buda.

Of course, the order of the interviews will be decided by the commission itself, but I can say from my experience and documents from the Ministry of Development and Technology that my notorious predecessor Waldemar Pawlak had +great merits+ in building Polish-Russian relations.
– said Minister Buda during his visit to Łódź on Thursday.
If I had to suggest anything, Pawlak would have to be one of the first to be questioned on this issue by the commission investigating Russian influence on Poland’s security.

May 31 In 2007, on the initiative of PiS, the law on the establishment of a commission to investigate Russian influence on the internal security of the Republic of Poland in the years 2007-2022 entered into force, which the president signed and announced a few days earlier at the same time as it was to be brought before the Constitutional Court. On June 2, Andrzej Duda submitted a draft amendment to this law to the Sejm. It passed on June 16, and on June 28, the delegates rejected the Senate’s objection to this amendment. The president signed the amendment on July 31. It came into effect in August.
