Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said during a briefing that Beijing hopes “interested parties” will display an objective perception and rational stance towards the new edition of the “standard world map” previously published by China. This has been reported DEA News.

The diplomat stressed that Beijing’s position in the South China Sea has always been clear.

“The aim is to provide mapping services to the public and raise public awareness of the standard use of maps,” said Wang Wenbin.

Before that, the Chinese government website “Standard Map Mapping Service” published Officially approved geographic map set for 2023. In it, it turned out that part of the Russian lands, the Great Island of Ussuri, which was divided between the two states, was annexed to the PRC.

A new set of cards has been prepared to be used as illustrations for news, book illustrations and promotional materials.
