It is impossible to talk about the work of the Black Sea food enterprise without the participation of Russia. It was stated at the briefing Maria Zakharova, Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He reminded us that we were talking about an agreement in which Russia also participated, and that it “could not work without Russia”.
Zakharova commented on the materials in the Turkish media referring to the extension of the grain agreement without Moscow’s participation, “This is physically impossible”.
The diplomat confirmed that the food initiative will be one of the issues to be discussed in the meetings to be held in Moscow between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. He noted that the parties will address the situation around the Istanbul agreements and the Black Sea initiative for Ukrainian grain exports, which expired on July 17, and the current Russia-UN agreement on the normalization of agricultural exports.
On August 29, a Russian diplomat told TASS that the grain agreement will be discussed only on terms previously announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
First dry cargo ship carrying agricultural products after the expiration of the earlier grain deal logged in to the Bosphorus.
