Technically, it is not possible to unlock KPO funds in a day or a week. The filing and processing of the application itself will take two months, European Union Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk said on Radio Plus, referring to Tusk’s statement that he would unblock money from the KPO the day after the election.
Tusk’s promises and reality
The head of the PO, Donald Tusk, made a solemn promise in Sopot that he would release the money from the National Reconstruction Plan the day after the election, and that we would all feel it.
According to Szynkowski vel Sęk, “This statement is important because it confirms two issues: first, that Donald Tusk is not telling the truth, because it is technically not even possible to do anything about this issue in one day or in a week.” Because, as he explained, “the submission of an application and its consideration by the European Commission takes at least two months.”
In his opinion, “Tusk admits with his statement that the PO blocked itThis is a de facto manipulative spin, triggering a resolution in the European Parliament, giving the impression that something extraordinary is happening in Poland, these measures for Poland.
This gives the impression that this is a massive violation of the rule of law and that this is a political mechanism
– added. As the minister said: “Donald Tusk admits that these funds are blocked for political reasons. This is an important statement that should open the eyes of many.”
