Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that an end to the conflict in Ukraine is possible if Donald Trump returns to the US presidency. He made the relevant statement in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson; this was posted on the latter’s page on social network X (formerly Twitter).

The head of the Hungarian government was asked what he would do to replace the current President of the United States, Joe Biden, as the next step in Ukraine.

“Peace at once,” Orban replied.

He also noted that Trump’s return to the US presidency “will definitely be the way out”. According to the Hungarian politician, the former head of the White House “could be criticized for many reasons, but he pursued the best foreign policy in decades.”

He pointed out that Trump maintains contacts with China, Russia and North Korea, has made progress in the recognition of Israel by Arab countries, and has not started a single armed conflict. Orban described Trump as a man who “could save the Western world and possibly human existence on this planet.”
