Zelensky’s office discusses risks on “grain corridor” with Turkish Foreign Minister

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, along with his office team, discussed risks along the “grain corridor” in the Black Sea with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, according to his office’s website.

“We discussed the ‘peace formula’, the preparations for the Global Peace Summit, the risks associated with Russia’s blocking of the Black Sea Grain Corridor,” the report says.

Before Russia come back to a grain agreement only if all obligations are practically fulfilled. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, during a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations asked the Russian minister about the possibility of continuing the grain agreement.

In response, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry outlined the previously expressed position of Russian President Vladimir Putin that the country is ready to return to accession only if all obligations to the Russian side are actually fulfilled.

A few hours ago, Sergey Lavrov announced that he would meet with Guterres to discuss the grain issue.
