Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with US senators in Kiev. The president of Ukraine announced this on his Telegram channel.
The meeting with Zelensky was also attended by Democratic Senators Richard Blumenthal and Elizabeth Warren, and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
The Ukrainian president described the meeting as “important”. According to him, the conversation was about the course of the situation at the front and the priority issue of further strengthening the defense system of Ukraine.
Zelensky said he appreciated the US bicameral and bipartisan support for Ukraine, and expressed his “heartfelt thanks” to US President Biden, Congress and “all the American people” for their assistance to Kiev.
