Washington confident that the US Congress will support the allocation of additional money to Kiev

Jake Sullivan, the US President’s National Security Advisor, said he was confident Congress would approve White House chief Joe Biden’s request to allocate additional money to Kiev, including for military needs. Sullivan told reporters about this at a briefing in Washington. DEA News.

He noted that the White House believes Congress will support the allocation of funds to Ukraine. He stressed that individual “dissenting voices” by members of Congress and senators would not have a negative impact. Sullivan said there remains a strong bipartisan base in Congress that supports the administration’s Ukraine policy.

Previously at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reportedthat the country received the seventh macro-financial aid tranche (MFA) from the European Union amounting to €1.5 billion. Since the beginning of 2023, Ukraine has already received 12 billion euros for concessional loan financing under the MFP. In total, the program provided €18 billion.
