According to Vucic, he does not understand how such a “weird situation” could happen in Athens. The Serbian President stressed that Kurti’s invitation seemed particularly surprising since Greece did not officially recognize the independence of Kosovo.
Vučić added that Mitsotakis will hold a meeting with Kurti, which will be the first official meeting between the heads of government of Greece and Kosovo.
The Serbian president also said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked him to hold a personal meeting in Athens.
Vučić emphasized that Serbia is fighting for its European future, but at the same time does not give up on its national interests. He noted that it will be difficult to observe Serbian national interests in the coming period.
