The KO list in the Radom constituency is opened by Member of Parliament Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska, who also received her mandate from Radom. However, there are voices in the city that the leader this time should be someone who is more actively involved in the region than they are. MP Marek Suski of PiS even talks about the uprising in the PO in Radom.
In second place, after Kluzik-Rostkowska, was MP Konrad Frysztak, who received a mandate from fifth place in the previous elections. At that time he received almost 12 thousand. vote support. More than 19.3 thousand people voted for Kluzik-Rostkowska for “one”. voters.
Before the KO announced the composition of the lists in the individual districts, several names of potential party leaders circulated in Radom. Among other things, it was said about Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, who – it turned out – will be a candidate for the Senate from Warsaw. In PO circles, there were voices that MP Konrad Frysztak had a great appetite in the first place, especially that he made himself known to the residents as a very ambitious and hard-working parliamentarian for four years. He often spoke on topics of importance to the region, was present in the media, appeared at various events, including those where PiS played the first fiddle, for example at the opening of the airport in Radom, in the presence of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
When the PO chairman officially announced the composition of the lists in the individual districts on Wednesday, there were also critical voices in Radom that the leader of the list this time should be someone other than Kluzik-Rostkowska, someone who is more actively committed to the region than her.
For four years, Kluzik-Rostkowska very rarely appeared in her constituency, although she has her parliamentary position here. Recently, just after the announcement of the lists, she came to Radom for the Polish Army Day, which was noticed by Deputy Minister Wojciech Skurkiewicz who attended the ceremony and personally welcomed her as a member of the parliamentary National Defense Commission.
Commenting on the composition of the PO list in the Radom region, PiS MP Marek Suski even asked Donald Tusk on his FB profile.
What are you going to do with the rebels in Radom? The Radom Civic Platform declares war on you. They do not agree with Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska’s proposal for the leader of the list. Rebellion and total criticism of your policies. Blackmail using the method of drafting letters to the Sejm in the PO. Congratulations
Suski wrote.
When asked for comment on the matter, the head of the Radom PO Marta Michalska-Wilk, who is also about to run for the Sejm, told the PAP that list leader Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska is a known and active Member of Parliament. , and because of her work in the defense committee, she is of particular interest. The defense sector in the Radom region is strong: Fabryka Broni “Łucznik” and the gunpowder production plant in Pionki. According to Michalska-Wilk, a KO squad with such a leader will be strong and competitive.
Mr. Marek Suski should not look for a scandal where there is none. Better let him take care of his own backyard, because PiS activists expect that maybe someone other than him will come first in the end. They hope that he will turn out to be a gentleman and relinquish his place on +one+ to a woman – Minister Annie Moscow
– noted the head of the Radom PO.
Michalska-Wilk, according to the so-called slider to ensure equal participation of women – it will take third place. The head of the Radom structures of the PO is known for her activities as a councilor, she was the president of the PO club in the Radom City Council, and for several months she has been the deputy mayor of Radom Radosław Witkowski.
Radom’s second deputy mayor, Katarzyna Kalinowska, will also run in the fall elections. President Radosław Witkowski himself decided not to run in the elections, although such rumors initially circulated in Radom. On the other hand, MPs in the 8th term of the Sejm: Leszek Ruszczyk and Anna Białkowska will run for the mandate. They did not get enough votes in the 2019 elections. 6,910 people voted for Ruszczyk and 6,938 for Białkowska. Voivodeship Councilor Tomasz Śmietanka, who also unsuccessfully applied for the mandate of Member of Parliament in 2019.
Controversy surrounding lists of KO candidates in the region
in the province in Lodz, the votes on the order of the KO candidates on the electoral lists are not weakening. Cezary Grabarczyk, who told PAP that he “has a legal defect”, is not on them. The head of the Lodz City Council, Prof. UŁ Marcin Gołaszewski (KO), after being offered 7th place on the Łódź KO list, stated: “I feel brutally screwed.”
The first places on the parliamentary lists of the citizens’ coalition in Łódź Voivodeship were: Dariusz Joński from constituency No. 9 in Łódź, former head of the SLD in the region; a candidate from constituency No. 11 in Sieradz, a member of the KO and former PO-PSL government spokesman, Cezary Tomczyk; candidate for a parliamentary mandate in constituency no. Piotrków Trybunalski historian and former TVP journalist Bogusław Wołoszański, a secret collaborator of the communist secret police in the People’s Republic of Poland.
Political circles, not only the PO, were surprised by Cezary Grabarczyk, one of the prominent politicians of the Łódź and the National Civic Platform, who was not on the KO electoral lists. The former Minister of Infrastructure and Justice in the PO-PSL governments resigned in 2015 over reports of possible irregularities in obtaining a gun license and doubts whether he had received adequate training.
Everyone knows why I don’t run. I currently have a legal defect – an invalid judgment
– said PAP.
The same defect as Mariusz Kamiński had
– added the PO politician.
When asked by PAP why he was talking about a different politician, and not the reasons for his absence from the lists, Grabarczyk pointed out that he did it on purpose.
I answer what I want to answer
– emphasized the former minister in the PO-PSL governments.
In March 2015, the current Minister of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński, was sentenced to three years in prison in the so-called land scandal. Before this ruling became final, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, asked M. Kamiński for the right to pardon in November 2015.
The statement of the chairman of the Lodz City Council, Prof. UŁ Marcin Gołaszewski (KO – Nowoczesna) in a video about the social profile of the politician. “It was said that valuing involvement and working for the benefit of the city’s residents would be at the top of the list,” he said.
Seventh place is obviously a disappointment, it’s a blow, in purely human terms, it hurts
– added.
I feel so brutally screwed
he stressed.
This is a colloquial term, not appropriate for a professor, but still I hope someone will keep their word
– explained Gołaszewski in a video on Facebook.
Krzysztof Piatkowski, a PO deputy from Łódź, declined to comment on President Gołaszewski’s statements.
I avoid conflicts and skirmishes. I do my thing
– assured MP Piątkowski, who will run from fourth place on the Sejm KO list in Łódź.
Always during the campaign – and I understand – there are emotions around the number on the candidate list. In today’s politics, it’s probably not a shocking word anymore
– told PAP spokesman for PO in Łódź, Councilor Bartosz Domaszewicz. When asked whether in Piotrków Trybunalski, from which Bogusław Wołoszański is the “one”, the voters of the PO will not be disturbed by the past of the journalist, who was a secret employee of the communist secret police, Domaszewicz replied that – in his opinion – No.
This information is not new, it is not something we learned yesterday
he concluded.
